Our vision – God’s New Life vision

2Co 6:16 For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (from Lev 16:12)

God’s vision is to:

  1. Be the One we live with in worship – our God
  2. Care for us
  3. Accomplish His purpose through us.

His purpose – For His glory and salvation to be known all around.

Isa 59:19 In the west, people will respect the name of the LORD; in the east, they will glorify him. For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD. Joining with His – to have a presence in Liberty Hill that effectively represents His glory in physical and spiritual excellence and worth.

His purpose for building a physical facility – to facilitate the building of His body

1 Peter 2:5 And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.

Church Services – to equip

Ephesians 4:11-13 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. [12] Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. [13] This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

8 Vision Statements

I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (Phil 3:13-14)
I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Php 4:12-13)
My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. (Acts 20:24)
I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. (1 Cor 9:26-27)
I will be proud on the day of Christ’s return that I held firmly to the word of life, did not run the race in vain, and that my work was not useless. (Php 2:16)
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” (Eph 4:16)
“And now you have become living building-stones for God’s use in building his house. What’s more, you are his holy priests; so come to him—you who are acceptable to him because of Jesus Christ—and offer to God those things that please him.” (1Pe 2:5)
“You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”” (1Pe 2:9-10)
