Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.


Psalm 34:14 KJV Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.


Following Peace

Colossians 3:15 AMPC ‘And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]...’


Nahum 1:7 AMP ‘The Lord is good, A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge trust in Him.’


There's a danger that comes from living in self-preservation mode, you can preserve yourself into a relic Frozen in Time. False peace is so dangerous to your life's calling because it will subconsciously influence you to steer clear of anything that would ignite the unknown or potentially place a demand on your deepest reservoirs of Faith, strength, and endurance. We were made to go after things and take hold of things courageously by faith. We were made to be known as audaciously bold people of strength because of Christ in us. We were made to win battles, not peaceful expeditions.


Mark 4:35-39 ESV ' On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.” 36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. '


Making Peace

Matthew 5:9 Weymouth’s NT Blessed are the peacemakers, for it is they who will be recognized as sons of God.


1 Corinthians 16:11 'So let no one look down on him. Send him on his way in peace so that he can come to me, because I am expecting him with the brothers. '


Isaiah 26:3 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. '


Philippians 4:6-9 NIV ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.
