Prepared to Impart In preparing for the presentation of a meal, business proposal, or competition, experience is essential for familiarity and prepared anticipation. Without having previous experience with the process, confidence will be weak, and successful execution will be plagued with insecurity. If, however, there is experience gained in a forgiving and supportive setting, the critical moment of action will have the necessary boldness and assurance for a successful performance. An unspoken sense of confidence from having been there will speak volumes to those choosing to accept or deny. What we’ve been given in Christ is an opportunity to not just praise Him with the parading throngs, but to offer up praise and worship in Spirit and Truth from a heart that has been reborn to new life. However, that anointing (Christ) that was on Jesus has also come on those who accept that new life (Christians). We join with Him in the same anointing that was on Him when we identify with Him. Rather than just being a part of a crowd singing the latest worship hit, we can have authentic worship as a new creation that will be sustained through its greatest challenges. His purpose and supporting power are now ours and so incredibly powerful for honoring Him by releasing them over a need. How critical it is in demonstrating power, though, for there to be a sense of confidence from experience in imparting that River of Life to someone in need. We can continually grow confident in this indwelling power by releasing it with fervent prayer as hands are laid on each other. In that coming critical moment of a promised miracle, confidence will be strong from a sense that this has already been experienced. Who we are is now an anointed imparter. Notes Celebrating the Son of David Matthew 21:9-11 (HCSB) 9 Then the crowds who went ahead of Him and those who followed kept shouting: Hosanna to the Son of David! He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One! Hosanna in the highest heaven! 10 When He entered Jerusalem, the whole city was shaken, saying, “Who is this?” 11 And the crowds kept saying, "This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee!" Celebration by the Spirit John 4:23-24 (NLT) 23 But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” Now we’re part of the procession 2 Corinthians 2:14 (NLT) 14 But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. What we have is for sharing Acts 3:5-6 (NLT) 5 The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. 6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” Where the Spirit is on, He proclaims through Luke 4:18-19 (NLT) 18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, 19 and that the time of the LORD’s favor has come.” Life imparting touch Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV) 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Spirit-imparting power Acts 8:18-19 (NKJV) 18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” Acts 9:17 (NKJV) 17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Received for imparting 2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NLT) 6 This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power, love, and self-discipline. What to impart: 2 Timothy 1:7 Power - over sin, sickness, oppression, bondage, ability Love – forgiveness. mercy, peace Sound mind – transformed vision, faith, hope, established Anointing – to proclaim deliverance and healing Overview: The Praise of Jesus can be very short-lived and fickle until united with Him. There is the reception of life in Him that gets its blessing from imparting that life. The same anointing that was on Jesus is on us through our union with Him. The virtue of Spirit life is transferred in the touch – healing, gifting, and power. The Gift of the Spirit received from an impartation is fanned into flame by imparting with transformed vision from self to ministry. Prayer: For the abundance of life that I’ve received, I am so very grateful, for the healing, deliverance, wisdom, and ability. Help me now to impart this same life by the power of Your Spirit in me. Declarations: Christ has triumphed over me and made me part of His parade that spreads the effect of His presence everywhere. The same Spirit that anointed Jesus has anointed me to bring healing and deliverance. The life of God is imparted through my presence and the contact of my hands. As I have received this life of blessing it is my passion to readily share it with confidence that the Spirit is the One doing the work. With this great resource of life, I set my heart to be prepared and ready to impart it continually.
