Spirit Ventures Our Sacrifice – His Praise When we step into this new realm, to which we’ve been given access completely apart from anything we’ve done, we discover that everything is about the One who brought us here – His praise, His will, and His purpose. We enter by acknowledging His Lordship, and any further progress is made with additional recognition of His creation, working, will, or promises. Though our words release the power of His declared attributes, this praise remains totally His. It is our great opportunity and service to honor Him in it with no consideration of what it might require of us. There will be so many more places to go in prayer that require this prerequisite. As soon as we want to bring along any personal perspectives or preferences, we are no longer making any progress in the Spirit. We’ve just reverted back to the natural realm, where praise goes somewhere other than to Him. The ancient songs of praise that preceded the armies of God and enabled great victories were based on His mercy and love, the necessity for any experience of His triumph in life. The same praises that usher into His presence will ensure residence there as they remain humbly about Him alone and released from the possession of their proclaimers. Notes Enter His realm with His praise – about Him alone. Psalms 100:1-5 (AMPC) 1 A Psalm of thanksgiving and for the thank offering. MAKE A joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing! 3 Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. [Eph 2:10] 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations. 3 Aspects: His Creation His fulfilled will His Declaration In the release of His praise of mercy – power. 2 Chronicles 20:21-22 (NKJV) 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever.” (faithful love) 22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. Challenge – staying in the Spirit realm No power in our praise 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 (TLB) 27 Instead, God has deliberately chosen to use ideas the world considers foolish and of little worth in order to shame those people considered by the world as wise and great. 28 He has chosen a plan despised by the world, counted as nothing at all, and used it to bring down to nothing those the world considers great, 29 so that no one anywhere can ever brag in the presence of God. For every step in the Spirit realm – a praise that is flesh-free Hebrews 13:14-15 (NKJV) 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. With every prayer – words of humble, power-enabling praise Hosea 14:2 (NKJV) 2 Take words with you, And return to the LORD. Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips. 1 Peter 5:5-7 (NKJV) 5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Go ever more boldly into the Spirit realm with praise for His mercy! 1 Chronicles 16:29-34 (NKJV) 29 Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! 30 Tremble before Him, all the earth. The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved. 31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” 32 Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it. 33 Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the LORD, For He is coming to judge the earth. 34 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Expectation with every encounter – glory 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (NKJV) 13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
