We have been rescued from a natural kingdom of darkness, where knowledge of God is overwhelmed by the experience of life on this earth. From impossible limitations we were used to just accepting, we now have access to direct communication with God that transforms those inabilities into miracle opportunities. While this new Spirit realm is ours to venture into, it is necessary to understand just how our words become effective in serving the Lord’s will there. Everything that will be beneficial is already established in the will of God. There is nothing we bring from the natural realm that can remain there. All those things that used to occupy our thoughts and conversations become part of a sacrifice in the exclusive praise of the Lord. It’s only by acknowledging His attributes and actions in praise that any difference is made. He is the One who will do exceedingly and abundantly more than anything we can think, and it’s only in a continual fixation on Him in praise that requests and prayers can make an impact by faith. His nature, ability, and amazing works must occupy the mouth before there can be any expectations of emulating His works and greater. Praise of Him is readily available to all who will let go of praising the world and the things of the world to discover the adventures of God-praising prayer.
1 Peter 2:9-10 (NLT)
9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
10 “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”
Ephesians 6:12 (TLB)
12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.
Acts 4:23-31 (NLT)
23 As soon as they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said.
24 When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—
25 you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying, ‘Why were the nations so angry? Why did they waste their time with futile plans?
26 The kings of the earth prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against the LORD and against his Messiah.’
27 “In fact, this has happened here in this very city! For Herod Antipas, Pontius Pilate the governor, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were all united against Jesus, your holy servant, whom you anointed.
28 But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will.
29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.
30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
It’s so incredible that You have made me Your own child in Christ, given me Your Name, and established me in Your kingdom. As I praise You now, I am drawn into the reality of this union to be effective in carrying out Your will on this earth in prayer. Fill me with a greater revelation of Your praises so I may grow in effective declarations of Your will.
