Our Father's Business: Serving Instead Of Volunteering

REFLECTION READING: MARK 10:42-45

SUMMARY: Serving in the church is different that volunteering elsewhere. We all should humbly serve with joyful hearts in a way that points others to Jesus. The Bible makes provision for men of distinction to help guide that service - not for ceremony or status - as a means to honor the Lord. The discipleship that flows out of our convent relationship with one another should make it easy to identify and develop servant leaders to minister as Deacons.
