Matthew 5:14-16 See John 8:12 Light points to: revelation, instruction, hope, joy, righteousness, and salvation! LIKE A CITY ON A HILL, LIGHT DARKNESS! Matthew 5:15 LIKE A LAMP IN A HOUSE, LIGHT DARKNESS AND REVEALS TRUTH! See John 3:16-21 Jesus says, YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH! YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD! AS SALT, we are to have a distinct and favorable taste to us. If we want to reach the world, we can’t be diluted disciples. AS LIGHT, we are to light the path to God by daily lighting up the thousand candles of our good works.
