REFLECTION SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 139:1-12

(Memory: Romans 1:16 CLOSING: 2 Thes 2:16-17)

SUMMARY: We begin our 4-week study in the book of Jonah. God's way is best. Obedience is a better response than rebellion. Jonah earns the title “Worst Missionary Ever” because of his attitude and rebellion toward the God he claimed to serve! But God is patient, and His way is best!

“Sin is a thief. It will rob your soul of its life. It will rob God of his glory. Sin is a murderer. It stabbed our father Adam. It slew our purity. Sin is a traitor. It rebels against the king of heaven and earth.” - Spurgeon

“God never allows His children to sin successfully,” and Jonah is proof of the truth of that statement. See Hebrews 12:6
