REFLECTION: Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14 MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 5:36-37 BENEDICTION: Ephesians 3:17-19 Summary: Jesus has just clearly claimed that He is God (v17). He continues with colossal claims of His Deity so there is no mistaking who He is. Nobody does what Jesus does; no-one is worthy like Jesus; no-one has the words of life like Jesus; no-one holds the keys to eternity like Jesus. NOBODY HAS AUTHORITY LIKE JESUS - LOOK AT WHAT HE DOES 1. ALL AUTHORITY John 5:19-21 Doctrine of the Trinity: We believe that God eternally exists in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — and that these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence, and obedience. 2. WORTHY OF ALL HONOR John 5:22-23 See: Isaiah 48:11; Exodus 20:3-6; Psalm 86:8-10; 95:6-7; Matthew 22:37, Revelation 4:11; Revelation 15:3-4 HOW CAN I HONOR HIM? Every morning: worship Him. die to self. surrender to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. ask the Lord to give you JOY. 3. ALL POWER John 5:24-26 4. ETERNAL JUDGE John 5:27-29 SUMMARY: NOBODY HAS AUTHORITY LIKE JESUS - LOOK AT WHAT HE DOES! NOBODY DESERVES HONOR LIKE JESUS - LOOK AT WHO HE IS! NOBODY HAS POWER LIKE JESUS - LISTEN TO WHAT HE SAYS! NOBODY HOLDS ETERNITY LIKE JESUS - ONE DAY, WE’LL STAND BEFORE HIM!
