Healthy Relationships

By Pastor Blackburn, September 13, 2020

Because of Jesus’ command to love our neighbor we must live in healthy relationships.

Mark 12:28–31 (NASB95) 28 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; 30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ 31 “The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Healthy Relationships are based on godly love.

_

Loving our neighbor is:

_

1. Contingent on loving

2. Based on loving

3. Expanded to include

4. Doing what is for others

_

Call to action:

* Ask how you can love others better.

* Ask yourself what is best for others.

* Demonstrate God’s love in every relationship at every opportunity.

Share the Gospel at every opportunity.

What relationship do I need to work on most?

Who can I share the Gospel with this week?
