Standing Firm In The Battle Ephesians 6:13–17 (NLT) 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Since God will help us stand firm against the enemy, we must prepare for battle His way. I. Stand firm with God’s truth. II. Stand firm with righteousness. III. Stand firm with God’s peace. IV. Stand firm with God’s faith. V. Stand firm with God’s salvation. VI. Stand firm with God’s Word. Call To Action 1. Make sure you are on God’s team by experiencing the new birth. 2. Put on and keep on all of the armor that God gives us so that we can stand firm in the evil day and every day. Ways To Put This Into Practice This Week: 1. Spend daily time in the Word of God learning and loving its truths. 2. Thank God for His righteousness that is imparted to you at the new birth. 3. Ask God to help you live out that righteousness on a daily basis. 4. Thank God daily for bringing you into peace with Him through salvation. 5. Ask God daily to help you have peace in all of your circumstances. 6. Pray for ad walk in faith daily by not fearing or doubting that God is with you and for you. 7. Thank God for the salvation He has worked in your life through the new birth. 8. Live like you are a saved child of the King. 9. Memorize one or more scriptures this week and every week.
