Touching God

Sensing God

By Lance Hurley, September 08, 2024

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace

Jesus shows us what the power of touch can do

“No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.” John 1:18

4 sensations our hands feel

We use our hands in many different ways

We protect our hands

When Jesus entered the world, God took off the gloves and extended his loving touch

“My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her and she will live.” (18)

“If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” (21)

He “touched their eyes and said, ‘according to your faith will it be done to you.’” (29)

Jesus is God’s touch to a world that needs to encounter God.

Touch has the power to comfort

Touch helps

Touch points people to Jesus
