“The of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.” Proverbs 20:5 

Jesus provides the insight we need to draw out our purpose.

The Greatest Commandment:  “‘ the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. -Matthew 22:37

Meaning and purpose in your life will come from authentically knowing and loving God— there is no other way.

The Second Greatest Commandment: ‘Love your as yourself.’ -Matthew 22:40

Love God. Love Others. This is the purpose of your life.

In this new year, what is one way you can grow in your love for God? What about in your love for your neighbor?

Prayer of Confession

Creator God, we come today full of hope for 2022. Each year, we stand at the beginning of a new year of possibilities with excitement in our eyes for all the ways in which our lives could be renewed. Yet each year, we fall back into our same patterns of pride, selfishness, greed, and envy. Forgive us our human stubbornness. Give us the strength to finally break these habits in this new year, where all things are once again possible, through Your Son, the One who makes all things new, Amen.
