Dana Seiler Call to Worship Leader: We come today to celebrate as blessed people of God. People: Blessed are we! Leader: We come to open ourselves to God’s guidance and love. People: Blessed are we! Leader: We come to see God at work in our community and in our lives. People: Blessed are we! Leader: And we exclaim, “Surely God is in this place!” People: Blessed are we! Hymn - “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” - #356 Prayer of Confession Loving God, we're surrounded by Your blessings. We live in this land of plenty, but sometimes we get caught up in what we don't have. Our minds wander off to that next fancy car, a bigger house, or an exotic vacation, and we fail to appreciate what's right in front of us. We end up chasing after what's still on our wish list and not fully savoring what we already have. We ask for Your guidance to become more grateful souls. Help us realize that we're already blessed just as we are. We offer this prayer in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen. Declaration of Forgiveness Passing of the Peace Anthem - “For the Beauty of the Earth” Rutter - Unity Choir Sermon - “Blessed Are The…” - Rev. Dana Pate Anthem - “Dance of the Blessed Spirits” Gluck Offering Prayer of Thanksgiving and the Lord’s Prayer Doxology Affirmation of Faith I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. Closing Hymn - “Oh the Deep Deep Love of Jesus” Benediction Postlude - “Concerto in Bb” Handel
