Call to Worship - Pam Conrad

  • Leader: We come today to be filled with the Spirit of God;
  • People: We come to be washed in God’s holy grace.
  • Leader: God’s voice calls us to the water,
  • People: and we immerse ourselves in God’s love.
  • Leader: God speaks to us: “You are my Beloved.”
  • People: We receive God’s claim upon us.
  • Leader: We lay our lives at the altar of God.
  • People: We worship God in awe and gratitude.

Hymn - “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” - #139 3 Verses

Prayer of Confession: Father God, many of us were so young when we were baptized or confirmed that we don’t remember the promises. We don’t take time to honor those sacred vows that were said around us that day, to serve Jesus as our Lord, to obey His word, and show His love. Help us be mindful each day of this precious gift, given in this community, as we nurture one another through the love of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Doxology

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
