Hymn - “The Church’s One Foundation” - #442 Verses 1, 2, 3, 5

Prayer of Confession: Creator God, You formed us from the dust of the earth and placed us in a garden. You gave us dominion over creation, placed us in families and in communities, and commanded us to love. Remind us of our place as Your creatures at home in Your creation. Forgive us when we forget our connection to the earth, when we don’t look after our home with care and respect, and when we act selfishly with one another instead of treating each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Bring us back into right relationship with You, with creation, and with one another, in the name of Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, Amen.

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
