Dana Seiler Leader: As we gather this day, each of us brings something to worship: People: We bring the burdens and disappointments of the week; Leader: We bring the happiness and joy we have found in our lives; People: We bring our prayers, our songs, and our questions; Leader: We bring our talents and our offerings; People: We bring all this to God as we worship today. Hymn - “Come Thou Almighty King” - #139 - 4 Verses Prayer of Confession: Merciful God, we want to choose to do the right things, even when people are not looking, but often we yield to temptation. We tell small lies, we take things and fail to return them, we gossip and have unkind thoughts about each other, and even sometimes our sin is much larger. Forgive us, O God, and help us to be people of integrity, who come to you for strength in times of temptation. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen. Declaration of Forgiveness Passing of the Peace A Moment for Veterans Anthem - “Take It To the Lord” (Metzger) Sermon - “Planting Seeds” - Rev. David Bonnema Anthem - “On Eagles’ Wings” (Joncas) A Time for Stewardship Offering and Prayer of Thanksgiving Doxology Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
