Describe one of your recent dreams. How did you feel when you woke up?

In the morning his mind was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could them for him. —Genesis 41:8

“I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” —Genesis 41:16

The seven skinny cows represent:

The plan seemed good to Pharaoh and to all his officials. So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the of God?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” —Genesis 41:37-40

Pharaoh recognized the Spirit of God at work in Joseph. Do others recognize the Spirit of God at work in your life?

Hymn - “I Sing the Mighty Power of God” - #288 - 3 Verses

Prayer of Confession:
Loving God, we admit today that we often rely on our own strength. We believe that we can do it all ourselves without asking for help. We are proud of our own accomplishments. Help us to learn to lean on You and Your strength, to be humble enough to recognize where our creativity and courage come from, and to remember that we can rely on You at all times through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Doxology

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
