Hymn - “Come, Christians, Join to Sing” - #150 - 3 Verses

Prayer of Confession:
Merciful God, we confess that we are easily distracted by many things. We chase after abundance, appearance, and comfort. We are anxious and troubled, fearing that what we are desperate to hold on to may not last. Forgive us for the times we choose what is easy over what is faithful, that which is temporary over what is eternal. Open our arms to those around us who need our love. Open our ears to hear Your word. Open our hearts to respond with courage. And help us, O God, to choose the life that brings us closer to You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Doxology

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
