I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. —Philippians 1:3-5

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. —Philippians 1:7

Who heard about the Gospel while Paul was in prison?

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!  —Philippians 4:4

Prayer of Confession - Rev. Dana Seiler:
Gracious God, You call us to live in joy, yet so often we are weighed down by worry, complaint, and discontent. We blame others for our unhappiness, failing to remember that Your joy is our strength. We allow our circumstances to determine our outlook, instead of resting in Your steadfast love. Forgive us, Lord. Renew our hearts, and fill us again with the gladness of your Spirit, that we may live as people of rejoicing, in Christ’s name, Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
