Call to Worship - Rev. Dana Seiler

  • Leader: Come, all who seek to follow Jesus.
  • People: We set our hearts on what matters most.
  • Leader: The world tells us to store up treasures that fade and rust away.
  • People: But Christ calls us to store up treasures in heaven.
  • Leader: Let us bring our gifts, our time, and our hearts to God.
  • People: For where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also.

Hymn - “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” - #356 - 3 Verses

Prayer of Confession:
Generous God, we confess that we often measure worth by what we can hold or see. We chase after comfort, success, and security, collecting earthly treasures that cannot last. Forgive us for focusing on our own agenda before we notice the needs of others. Help us to give others love, mercy, and grace. Turn our hearts toward generosity, our eyes toward justice, and our lives toward Your kingdom’s work, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Doxology

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed;
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
