Call to Worship - Rev. Dana Seiler

  • Leader: The Holy Spirit gathers us as the body of Christ.
  • People: Once strangers, we are now the family of God.
  • Leader: We come from different places, bringing different stories.
  • People: Yet we are made one in Christ Jesus.
  • Leader: Bring your questions, your hopes, your doubts,
  • and your longing.
  • People: The Spirit is here. The Church is alive. Let us worship God!

Hymn - “Come Sing, O Church, In Joy” - #430 V 1, 2, 4

Prayer of Confession:
Spirit of the Living God, you call us into bold faith, yet we cling to comfort. You send us into the world, yet we remain at home. You give us voices to proclaim good news, yet we remain quiet. Forgive us when we forget that your Spirit works through us. Forgive us when we believe that what we have to offer will not make a difference. Fill us again with your Spirit, that we may become the people you have called us to be in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Doxology

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
