Call to Worship - Rev. David Bonnema

  • Leader: Come and remember who you are.
  • People: We are beloved children of God.
  • Leader: Remember whose you are.
  • People: We belong to the God who calls us by name.
  • Leader: You are precious in God's sight,
  • People: Let us worship the God who loves us unconditionally.

Hymn - “O For a Thousand Tongues” - #466 - 4 Verses

Prayer of Confession
Loving God, we confess that we often forget who we are and whose we are. We measure ourselves by what others think of us, focusing on our failures and shortcomings. We allow fear to speak louder than Your promises. We forget that You have called us by name and claimed us as Your own. Remind us that our worth comes from being Your children and is not something we have to earn. Help us find purpose in Your love, trust in Your will for our lives, and remember that we are securely held in Your faithful hands, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
