Hebrews 11:1 Hebrews 11:6 Real faith in God is based upon the Word of God. Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and applying the Word of God! James 1:22-25 The word of God is like a mirror, it reveals who you are in the light of who he is and what his Word says. Romans 1:17 Faith is seeing from God's point of view. Ephesians 1:17-19 2 Corinthians 4:18 Information + application = Transformation The Word doesn't work unless you work it. Matthew 7:24-27 Isaiah 55:6-11 Matthew 11:28-30 FACTS ABOUT FAITH 1. Everyone starts with a measure of faith and the measure is a gift. Romans 12:3 God gives the measure of faith, but it is our responsibility to exercise that faith. God saves us by his grace when we believe in the finish work of Christ!. Ephesians 2:8-9 2. Faith is not always synonymous with belief. Hebrews 6:1 Our faith is based on the finished work of the cross. When the foundation of my faith is in Jesus Christ then I’m given the gift of the Holy Spirit to receive all the promises of his Word! A lot of people have faith and believe in God! But they don’t have a saving faith in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! Our faith is based on the finished work of the cross. James 2:19 3. Faith is received, not earned. Romans 10:17 Rhema is that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, the thing spoken. The Logos is given to open our spirits to the Rhema! Ephesians 1:17-19 Most of the promises in God’s word are conditional! 4. Faith is a confident, unshakable expectation of what is to come. Hebrews 11:1 AMP Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. Biblical hope is a confident expectation in God's future actions, grounded in His character and the certainty of His promises. It shapes the believer's life with trust, endurance, and joy, regardless of present challenges. Hope is confidence that things are going to get better. Hope is established on the character of the one making the promises. 5. Faith has a vocabulary. Hebrews 11:3 2 Corinthians 4:13 Upon confession, things begin to change! Guard what comes out of your mouth! Begin your day with thankfulness it opens the window to his presence! 6. Faith fully believes what God has promised. Romans 4:20-22 Faith applies promises! Galatians 3:17 Malachi 3:10 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Find a promise that stands out in your heart and stand on it! 7. Faith moves us toward Jesus with diligence and persistence. “Great faith works in the presence of fears and doubts. Great faith is not an absence of doubt, fears and unbelief but a decision to move forward despite them” HOW MUCH FAITH DOES IT TAKE? • Enough faith to keep crying out to Jesus. Mark 10:52 Enough faith to move toward Jesus (take the next step).
