Pentecost is a feast celebrated fifty days after Easter, it commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem. It was a picture of Heaven coming to earth! Matthew 3:13-17 Acts 1:4-5 Pentecost is about coming to earth! Fight for it 1 Timothy 6:12 You can’t sleep through this fight. If you sleep on the sidelines, you will end up in the effects of apathy. Sharpen your tools and weapons. Be prepared to contend for your faith. Be strong in God’s Word, and be ready with revelation. 2. Pray for more Romans 12:12 **Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you like your life depends upon it because it does! ** This isn’t religion; it’s relationship. Ephesians 3:19 Hebrews 13:29 3. Repent for being okay without it! Jesus didn’t give His life for us to be lukewarm. We weren’t designed to live a journey of complacency. John 2:17 Zeal is passion jealousy and intensity. God wants his Church full of zeal! Romans 12:10-12 Romans 12:9-13, [NIV] Fervor is the Greek word zéō it means to boil, to be hot, to bubble over, to show great zeal; to be passionate. Fervor is the natural by-product of living in a constant revelation of what God’s done for us. Revelations 2:1-5 Revelations 3:15-16 There is only one thing required in the Kingdom of God! Love the Lord, your God with all your Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength! The fire is on the altar! We need to see a MOVE OF GOD! ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.. Live close to God and stay open to the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is about us becoming who God has meant for us to be. In the presence of God, idols are exposed, sickness is healed, and there is fullness of joy.
