"God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. - Matthew 5:3 NLT

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. - Matthew 5:4 NLT

God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. - Matthew 5:5 NLT

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. - Matthew 5:5 KJV

Humility is one of my best qualities. I'm probably the most humble person I know; in fact, if you had time, I could talk about my humility for hours, and how I got this humble.

Being too humble is my greatest meekness.

“A biblical portrait of meekness is someone who completely trusts in God, and because they trust in God, they are patiently waiting on God’s timing to work out everything in a way that brings God glory.”—John Piper

While they were at Hazeroth, Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because he had married a Cushite woman. They said, “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses? Hasn't he spoken through us, too?” But the LORD heard them. - Numbers 12:1-2 NLT

Now Moses was very humble–more humble than any other person on earth. - Numbers 12:3 NLT

Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth. - Numbers 12:3 KJV

Meekness is not .

So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help. - Isaiah 30:18 NLT

Meekness is .

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. - James 1:21-22 NKJV

Meekness is .

Then Peter said to him, "We've given up everything to follow you. What will we get? Jesus replied, "I assure you that when the world is made new and the Son of Man sits upon his glorious throne, you who have been my followers will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life. But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then. But many who are first will be last, and the last first. - Matthew 19:27-30 NKJV

Meekness is others .

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. - Matthew 5:5 KJV

“You don’t need the vain pleasures of one-upmanship because God has already made you an heir of the world. Would I feel the need to brag that my house is bigger than your house if I knew that my Father owned the city and I was the beneficiary in his will?”—John Piper
