Blessed are those who hunger and thirst

By Pastor Carley Moore, October 24, 2021

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.-Matthew 5:6 NLT

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.-Matthew 5:6 NKJV

Jesus replied, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.-John 6:35 NLT

The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.-Ecclesiastes 1:18 NLT

Anything I wanted, I would take. I denied myself no pleasure. I even found great pleasure in hard work, a reward for all my labors. But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless–like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere.-Ecclesiastes 2:10-11 NLT

So I came to hate life because everything done here under the sun is so troubling. Everything is meaningless–like chasing the wind. I came to hate all my hard work here on earth, for I must leave to others everything I have earned.-Ecclesiastes 2:17-18 NLT

Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness! The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth–except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!-Ecclesiastes 5:10-11 NLT

This is the case of a man who is all alone, without a child or a brother, yet who works hard to gain as much wealth as he can. But then he asks himself, “Who am I working for? Why am I giving up so much pleasure now?” It is all so meaningless and depressing.-Ecclesiastes 4:8 NLT

After much thought, I decided to cheer myself with wine. And while still seeking wisdom, I clutched at foolishness. In this way, I tried to experience the only happiness most people find during their brief life in this world.-Ecclesiastes 2:3 NLT

That's the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone's duty. God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.-Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NLT

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.-Matthew 5:6 NKJV

Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor.Proverbs 21:21 NLT

We Have Filled Up On .

Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink–even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk–it's all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.-Isaiah 55:1-2 NLT

We Fill Up On The The .

As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord's feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, "Lord, doesn't it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, "My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”-Luke 10:38-42 NLT

Become Fully .

Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!-Psalm 34:8 NLT

And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.-Ephesians 3:18-19 NLT

is with God.

For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past.-Romans 3:25 NLT
