Living Wisely

in a wayward world

By Rev. Aaron Austin, February 20, 2022

Scriptural Focus: Psalm 37:1-9

  1. sin (Psalm 37:1, 7-8) • Refuse to allow the sin of others to lead us into sin ourselves

  2. on God's faithfulness (Psalm 37:3-4) • Live on the faithfulness of God (see John 15:4)

  3. with God's ways (Psalm 37:5-6) • I can roll my cares onto the Lord and trust in Him to handle it! (see Philippians 2:14-16)

  4. in God's Justice (PSALM 37:7) • Be still. Know that He is God. (see Matthew 5:5)

CONSIDER HOW NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES AND HURTS HAVE SHAPED YOU, THE WAY YOU THINK AND FEEL ABOUT LIFE, OTHERS, AND GOD. ARE THERE WAYS IN WHICH YOU HAVE ALLOWED THOSE EXPERIENCES TO LEAD YOU INTO WRONGFUL ACTIONS?

RE-READ PSALM 37. HOW CAN YOU INCORPORATE THESE GOOD THINGS THAT PSALM 37 TALKS ABOUT DOING INTO YOUR LIFE MORE?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO KNOW THAT JESUS IS “YES” TO ALL OF GOD’S GOOD PROMISES?
