#blessed - We tend to view being “blessed” directly related to what we have of (material wealth) and the and that comes from those things.

Jesus Defines “Blessed” In a New Way:

   1. Pursuing over selfish gain. (Matt. 5:3-9)
   2. because of righteousness. (Matthew 5:10-12)

When you hear the word “blessed,” what comes to mind? Why do you think that’s what comes to mind first?

If you were to make a list of beatitudes for our current culture, what would you include?

When you look at your cultural beatitudes list and compare it to jesus’s beatitudes, what stands out the most?

What would it take to reorient your life to live out the beatitudes?

Which beatitude stands out to you as the most convicting for your life right now? Which beatitude brings you the most comfort right now?
