Jesus Changes Everything!

On the cross, it becomes clear that Jesus was looking beyond his current suffering: (Luke 23:43)

No one is except God alone. (Mark 10:18)

All have and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

How does one criminal change?

  • He recognizes that he is a . (Luke 23:41)
  • He asks for God's . (Luke 23:42)

He could not do anything but trust in the of God through Jesus Christ

Jesus changes everything!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”

1 Peter 1:3

  1. How would you rank your goodness on a scale of 1-10? Why?
  1. Why do you think the scriptures teach us that being restored back to a right relationship with God cannot be based on a sliding scale of our own goodness?
  1. If you are already a believer, describe how God’s grace has changed your life and continues to transform your heart.
  1. If you have yet to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Saviour, consider what God might be showing you in your life that reveals a need for a “heart” transformation.

Jesus has already given his life for you so that you can be restored back to God through his “goodness”. His resurrection shows that he not only wants to give you forgiveness for sins but also the gift of new life and a new future that can begin today! Declare to God your need of salvation (Confess your sins) and believe in Christ for salvation. When you have done this, speak to a pastor or Christian friend and share with them the good news!
