has devastating consequences. Psalm 130:3

The cross reminds us that Christ has gone .

“Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord” Psalm 130:1

“In Jesus, God has gone places where we go. He goes to the dark places, the places where life is being taken from us, the places where we feel abandoned, the places where we die.” - Dan Boone

The cross reminds us that in Christ we have .

“But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.” Psalm 130:4

The cross reminds us that is found through Jesus Christ.

“put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.” Psalm 130:7

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?” - JESUS

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE “DEPTHS” FROM WHICH YOU CRY OUT TO GOD, IN THE PAST OR TODAY? HOW HAVE YOU SEEN THE DEVASTATING EFFECTS OF SIN IN YOUR OWN LIFE?

WHAT PROMISES HAVE YOU HEARD TODAY FROM GOD’S WORD THAT SHOW YOU THAT THE “DEPTHS” IS NOT A PLACE OF HOPELESSNESS?

WHERE DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE TODAY IN RELATION TO GOD? HOW MIGHT GOD BE SHOWING YOU TODAY THAT HE IS MEETING YOU WHERE YOU ARE?

“I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE…DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?” - HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO JESUS’ QUESTION?

REPENTANCE RECOGNIZES THE DEPTHS OF SIN YOU FIND YOURSELF IN AND ALSO THE DESIRE FOR GOD’S GIFT OF FORGIVENESS AND REDEEMING GRACE.
