Scriptural Focus: Luke 15:11-32 “There is no place like ” – we all long for that sense of being at home, a place of rest. Too often we settle for a life of (striving, battling, seeking, wanting more) AHA! “When he came to his senses…” (Luke 15:17) Prevenient Grace: the belief that God’s grace is already at work in our hearts and lives even before we recognize it. ‘Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”’ Luke 15:1-2 The parable of the Prodigal Son (the restless sons) is ultimately a story of God’s love! Lord, you have been our place throughout all generations. Psalm 90:1 He came and preached to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Ephesians 2:17-18 WHAT DOES “HOME” MEAN TO YOU? WHAT POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE ASSOCIATIONS DO YOU ASSOCIATE WITH “HOME”?
