A Place of Provision

By Aaron Austin, November 19, 2023

Scriptural Focus: 1 Kings 17:7-24

Living in Drought: Sometimes our homes too often become a reminder for us of what we don’t have, what is broken, what we lack, or how lonely we are.
Is it possible that God is giving you an opportunity to experience his provision in your life?

  • By Our Home to God (1 Kings 17:10-14)
  • By Our Home With God’s Provision (1 Kings 17:15-16)
  • By Our Home’s Foundation on Faith (1 Kings 17:17-20)

We can turn on the of Hope in our hearts and in our homes.

Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth.” 1 Kings 17:24

Our Hope is not born out of but out of Jesus Christ!

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:10-11

DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCES OF “DROUGHT” IN YOUR LIFE. WHAT IMPACT DID THEY HAVE ON YOU AND HOW DID YOU RESPOND?

IN WHAT WAYS IS GOD CHALLENGING YOU TO OPEN YOUR HOME AND YOUR HEART TO HIM? WHAT “FIRST” IS HE ASKING YOU TO TAKE, TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR HIS PROVISION IN YOUR LIFE?

CONSIDER HOW A CRISIS IN YOUR LIFE HAS HELPED STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH. WHY IS THAT?
