REVIEW: Jesus calls us to go and do the , as of Christ, with eyes of ...

Love moves us within of the need.

“He went to him…” (Luke 10:34)

Love moves us to to the need.

He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ (Luke 10:34-35)

Love is not about our abilities or capacities to meet people’s needs. Love is simply about willing hands to serve others for their best good.

THINK OF THE VERY BASIC WAYS IN WHICH YOU CARE FOR YOUR OWN NEEDS. IN IN YOUR OWN WORDS, HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO GOD’S COMMAND TO “LOVE OTHERS AS WE ALSO LOVE OURSELVES”?

THINK OF AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET THE NEED OF SOMEONE THAT YOU ENCOUNTERED MOST RECENTLY. HOW DID YOU RESPOND AND WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS? DOES TODAY’S MESSAGE CHALLENGE YOU TO RESPOND DIFFERENTLY?

HOW DOES GOD’S LOVE COMPEL YOU TO RESPOND TO NEEDS THAT COME YOUR WAY? WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO RESPOND FOR A PERSON’S “GOOD”?
