Easter 2025

By Pastor Eric Schroeder, April 20, 2025

Last week summarization:

The cleansing of the temple in Jesus’s time, we saw is happening today. Why? Because God is preparing a new reformation, a new move of redemption upon our land. I believe we are about to see the 3rd Great Awakening. The birthing of it has already begun.

We are seeing the religious mindsets turning against what God is trying to do, because they are loving their fame, control, and manipulation. Jesus in His day stood out against the religious mindset of the time, and they went after to destroy Him because of it.

This week:

We are called to pick up where Jesus left off, and continue in the faith, and continue in His work. That isn’t given in to the times but standing out and being different.

Matthew 10:16 NASB

We are called to be , but to be at the same time.

John 10:10 NASB

John 15:13 NASB

When we look at the entire Easter story, there is one thing we see with Jesus.

He stood out because of His love and passion for mankind.

During the last 3 ½ years of His ministry we see a picture of Jesus, and that was one of Passion, love, and example. It was not one of tolerance, complacency, and laziness. It was contrary to that. He stood out and was different to everyone around Him. People flocked to Jesus because He wasn't like the rest of the religious leaders.

The Jesus had for mankind was His willingness to step out, His willingness to be different, and His willingness to be sacrificed. It wasn’t the 3 nails that held Him on the cross it was the passion and love that He had for you and me.

He died on that cross so we could live. He took our sins, sicknesses, depression, anxieties, fear, separation, you name it, He took it upon His body on that cross.

It wasn’t the nails, but the PASSION for mankind that kept Him on the cross. It was the Passion He had for you, and me. He knew us before we were even born, so He saw us while on the cross. His passion over 2,000 years ago, forgave you, and opened a way for us to have abundant life, and to come into relationship with Jesus.

The work didn’t end on the cross, but it is still alive today. The work of redemption is still alive, the work of healing is still alive, the work of deliverance is still alive, and the work of salvation is still alive.

That same passion burns inside of us. If we have taken our eyes off of our first love, then we need to ask Jesus to let the passion rise, and burn in us once again.

We have to take our eyes off of the distractions and fixcate them on Jesus once again.

John 15:22-25 NASB

It is time we dare to be different and invite the passion to once again stir us deep inside. Let it kindle and grow. The passion Jesus had been moved by what people were saying behind His back, His passion was stirred by the love He had for us.

It isn’t about what man thinks of Me but what the Father in Heaven thinks of me. The Father speaks truth, while the world will speak lies. The world will curse us for being different, but the Father will praise us. The world will seek to destroy us, but the Father will lift us up in a time of need.

Time to go out and fulfill the gospel and continue the ministry of Jesus Christ.
