Governing the Land - Pt 2

Through Prayer, Worship, Declarations, & Decrees

By Pastor Eric Schroeder, May 25, 2025

When we truly fear God, we will want to live our lives according to His word. We will come to worship His wonderful name, and we can’t wait to get into His presence, and be with Him. Fear comes with such great reverence, that we do not want to sin before Him, but we want to be that prize, that apple to His eye. One that He takes notice on, one that drives His heart to move on our behalf, and one that He will do everything for.

The fear of God drives us to our knees in reverence, it worships Him with every cell in our body, and not just coming to church to do what is scripturally right, but it is saying God take me on a trip with You.

We must come to a place of understanding that our Father goes into battle before us, He will give us the victory if we let Him.

Psalm 149 NASB

Psalm 149 challenges us on a personal and congregational level. It tells us to let go and worship Him. It tells us to do so from a place of victory.

Do you need turn around in your life – worship Him Do you need healing in your life – worship Him Do you need a promotion in your workplace – worship Him Do you want to see God change Bay County – worship Him Do you suffer from fear or anxiety – worship Him Do you have a poor self-image of who you are – worship Him

Things happen when we worship Him and the enemy knows this, and this is why He rises our Pride to stop us from fully worshipping God from fully letting God and giving Him our best.

Rejoice – in the Hebrew text means - to be joyful, be glad, but the root of this word means to spin around (under the influence of any violent emotion).

It isn’t holding back; it is letting go of everything and giving it all to God.

It goes on to say we praise His name with dancing, with song, with playing of instruments.

The word salvation in the Hebrew means saved, victory, prosperity, deliverance, health, and welfare.

It is an honor for us to go after the rulers, wickedness’s of this land.

Let the High Praises – is an exaltation it is a shout that comes from the throat, it is a war cry saying no more, I am not going to take this anymore, God, I give you the glory, I surrender to You God. It is worshipping from a place again of victory.

It is worshipping with the prophetic word, and the written word of God. It is the two-edged sword in our hand, the Rhema (spoken word) and Logos (written word) and being ready to go to war with it.

It is standing in a place without fear but going after the territory.

It is binding the kings of the land, and the noble rulers with shackles. It is using the executed word of the King to declare the truth upon the land.

This is why the enemy comes to steal the voice of an active church. It tries to stop the congregation from Governing the land.
