The Gospel calls us to a life above Labels Luke 12:22-23 – Then he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, don’t worry about your life, what you will eat; or about the body, what you will wear. For life is more than food and the body more than clothing. Worry is a problem because of our resources Worry is a problem because of our 24/7 media machine Worry is a problem because of family Worry runs wild, when faith fails Luke 12:24 – Consider the ravens: They don’t sow or reap; they don’t have a storeroom or a barn; yet God feeds them. Aren’t you worth much more than the birds? Luke 12:25-28 – Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying? If then you’re not able to do even a little thing, why worry about the rest? “Consider how the wildflowers grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Romans 12:2 - “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” John 3:17 – For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:29-32 – Don’t strive for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious. For the Gentile world eagerly seeks all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. “But seek his kingdom, and these things will be provided for you.
