God writes the lyrics of our souls in the Psalms

Psalm 103:1-2 – Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,

We are redeemed to remember

Biblical remembering is your “affecting consciousness”

We forget the things we should remember and remember the things we should forget

Psalm 103:3 – who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,

Our hearts are teflon to encouragement and velcro to criticism

Deuteronomy 8:11 – “Take care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today”

Psalm 103:1 – Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. (NIV)

Without biblical remembering, we drive our lives in mundane circles

Psalm 103:4-5 – who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Psalm 103:8 – The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

Psalm 103:12 - As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Jesus was forgotten for us

Psalm 103:17 – But from everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s love is with those who fear him.”
