The Spirit always makes Jesus more real to us The Spirit helps us know and grow in God’s family Romans 8:10 – But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Romans 8:12-13 – So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. It’s easy to confuse repentance with discipline Romans 8:14-15 – For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit makes us sons instead of slaves Romans 8:16-17 – The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. Sons inherit while slaves fear Romans 8:4 – in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 8am Easter Service Sign-Up There is a current plan working to deploy the OH Disaster Relief team to Delaware County this week to do mainly chainsaw and clean-up work in Galena and Stratford. The training costs $45 for the background checks/processing and takes about 3 hours in total.
