Hebrews 10:25
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another— and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Within our Church Family, Connected People:

  • Attend Our Sunday Gatherings Regularly (Heb 10:25; 1 Cor 14:26)
  • Nurture Healthy Relationships (John 15:15; 1 John 1:3-7)
  • Promote Unity and Respect with Each Other(John 17:21-23;1 Cor 12:12-14,17)
  • Extend Grace to Each Other (1 Cor 15:10-11; 2 Cor 9:8)
Qualities of Christ-honoring Friendship

As you read through the verses below keep in mind 2 or 3 close friends. Write their names down beside the points that you feel reflect your friendship well.

When you are able, preferably face to face, share with them your thoughts and how you appreciate experiencing those qualities together. What areas could you grow in together?

Gospel of John

  • Introduce people to Christ (John 1:38-42, 45-46)

  • Desire for God to be glorified through your friend’s life (Jn 11:1-6)

  • Serve one another (Jn 13:12-15)

  • Love one another as Christ has loved you (Jn 13:34-35; 15:12,17)

  • Share what God has given you with them (Jn 15:15)

  • Lay your life down for them (John 15:13; Rom 16:3-4)

  • Follow Christ’s commands together (John 15:14)

  • Actively seek to restore strained relationships (John 21:15-17)

    1 & 3 John

  • Commit to walking in the light together to experience the complete joy of fellowship with God and each other (1 Jn 1:1-7)

  • As you love in truth, pray that your friend may prosper in every way and be in good health physically just as they are spiritually(3 John 1:1-2)

  • Encourage your friend to not imitate what is evil, but what is good (3 Jn 1:11)
