They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. IF THE BIBLE IS GOING TO SHAPE ME… 1. I MUST IT’S GOD’S WORD Psalm 119:1-2 Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD. Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 … you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe. 2. I MUST COMMIT TO DAILY STUDY Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Hebrews 10:14 For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy. 3. I MUST WHAT I LEARN Psalm 119:9 How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 4. I MUST FALL IN LOVE WITH IT Psalm 119:72 Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver. Psalm 119:97 Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long.
