Jeremiah 32:16-20 Exposition: The year: 587 B.C The issue: Jeremiah was in prison because of his strong prophecies. The object lesson: buying a piece of property Understanding: Jeremiah did what he was told. He was faithful. His prayer is a model prayer. but his understanding id incomplete until God unfolds His plan. God's Plan to Restore He will gather His people from distant lands. He will reestablish His relationship with them as their God. He will change their hearts. He will make an everlasting covenant with them. He will rejoice of His people. Application We too are living in a most difficult time. But God's principles work even in difficult times. Even now, God says, “Invest!” God will be faithful to us as we are faithful to live according to His word. In the end, God has a plan to shower us with all that He has promised.
