Comfort in the Lordship of Christ

Lost In A World Of Maps

What makes you feel found… secure… accomplished… full of purpose… loved?

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

There’s a difference between saying Jesus is Lord and living as if Jesus is Lord.

WE NEED TO FIND….

1. Comfort in the of Christ.

2. Comfort in His .

John. 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

If you’re not obeying God’s word, He’s not your Lord.

3. Comfort in His

Jeremiah 32:27 “I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?

Ephesians 1:19-20 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

4. Comfort in His

Colossians 1:16 (NASB) …all things have been created through Him and for Him.

5. Comfort in His

Philippians 2:1 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love?
