“Grace Greater Than All My Sin” **January 2, 2022 ** Romans 5:20-21 Introduction: In verses 18 and 19 Paul compared the one-man Adam with the OneMan Jesus. From the first came sin, and condemnation but to all who find their place in Christ came , justification and righteousness. If all we needed was Jesus to fix the problem of Adam then why did God raise up Moses to give us the Law? If the law couldn't save us then why give it at all? 20a. Moreover, the law entered that the offense might abound. THE LAW TOOK ACQUIRED SIN AND MADE IT SIN ON OUR ACCOUNT. THE LAW TOOK THE OBSCURE AND MADE IT . THE LAW USED THE BEAUTY OF GOD TO SHOW US THE IN US. THE LAW TOOK OUR TINDER AND PUT A TO IT. 20b. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21a so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life Sin has a Reign. Grace has a Reign 21b through Jesus Christ our Lord.
