Introduction: We are in Romans 8:12-13. Because our passage begins with the word “therefore” We can get straight to reading the text and do our review of the previous verses when we discuss what the therefore is there for. 12a Therefore 12b brethren 12c we are debtors 12d not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13a For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 13b but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
