Introduction: Paul is describing the life that is surrendered to God that is being transformed by the love of God in Christ Jesus. This is genuine love in action. Last week, he spoke of our brotherly love to one another and how it should be a nurturing and caring love. He then spoke of how we honor or value one another saying that we should each lead the way by being an example in this for others. Now we arrive at verse 11 which I will translate word for word with no additions. 10 regarding brotherly love to one another - the love of a parent to a child, regarding honoring each other - leading the way by example.11 regarding diligence – not sluggish, regarding the spirit – boiling, regarding the Lord – serving.
