Jesus is God With Us Who is Jesus? John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made Jesus is the Word of God which means that He is DISTINCT from God and DIVINE like God. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. Who is Jesus to you? Why did Jesus come? John 1:4-5 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Jesus Came to Give Life to the Spiritually Dead and Light to the Spiritually Darkened Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 1 John 5:11–12 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. Isaiah 9:2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
