Your Kingdom Come

The Lord's Prayer

By Lee Renfro, March 15, 2026

When I pray, am I asking God to advance His kingdom or bless mine?

Jesus teaches us to pray for God’s kingdom to rule in our hearts and in our world.

Matthew 6:9–13 Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Treasuring the Kingdom of God

Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come,

The kingdom we long for is the kingdom we live for.

Trusting the Will of God

Matthew 6:10 your will be done,

Trusting God’s will means trading our plans for His purposes.

Tasting the Glory of God

Matthew 6:10 on earth as it is in heaven.

Glorify = Making the Invisible God Visible Through Our Lives

When we get a taste of the glory of God, the world no longer tastes the same.
