Human Love Is An Imperfect Reflection Of God's Greater Love We Were Made to Love God's Way Song of Songs 3:5 “Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.” (NIV) Know God's Design God's design is for us to know and follow him. 1 John 2:3-4 “3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar.” 1 John 4:7-8 “7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” We were designed for love because God is love. Flee Sexual Immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 “18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” Never put yourself in those situations. Set boundaries/guardrails.
