Identity is a sense of self and a sense of worth.





Worldly identity is based upon personal performance.





Biblical identity (Gospel Identity) is based upon the performance of Jesus in our place.



21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, - 2 Corinthians 5:21a



“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” - Hebrews 4:15



Isaiah 53:10, “Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt.”



so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. - 2 Corinthians 5:21b





Through faith, God does not see you in your sins, God sees you in Jesus’ righteousness.



“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. - Romans 8:1



Ephesians 1:7 “7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,



Colossians 1:22, “...he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,





God is pleased with you.
